Selena Gomez's high-profile relationships have been the subject of much media attention throughout her career.

The singer has kept fans curious about her love life by engaging in on-off relationships with celebrities like Justin Bieber and had a fling with Orlando Bloom.

Gomez welcomed her time alone after a rocky relationship with Bieber and other boyfriends by being single for over two years.

Selena Gomez's dating history, from severe relationships to short flings.

Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas was first linked to Selena Gomez in 2008, but they had met before because they were both on the Disney Channel.

Gomez was seen skating early that year while sporting Jonas' Elvis Costello t-shirt, and she hung out with the Jonas Brothers at the Disney Channel Games in March. In June of that year, when Gomez featured in Jonas' "Burnin' Up" music video, speculation about a romantic relationship between the two reached a fever pitch.

The pair broke up in 2009, but they reconciled shortly after that. After being photographed together again in February 2010, speculation began that the two were back together.

Gomez and Jonas were spotted going on a dinner date and a golf excursion in the same month. Jonas had previously stated that the two would maintain their relationship in secret.

Taylor Lautner

After Gomez and Jonas broke up for the first time in April 2009, rumors began circulating that she was dating Taylor Lautner. They met in Canada, where they were both working on projects. Gomez stayed at the same hotel as Lautner's "Twilight" co-star, Kristen Stewart.

They kept running into each other and eventually started hanging out. They were seen having dinner together with some mutual friends. Someone else saw them cuddling up in a movie theater and reported it to PEOPLE, suggesting they might be a pair.

Another insider also revealed that, at the time, the two were just friends and that things were not quite a romance. The two were only seen together once more after returning to Los Angeles, suggesting their romance did not last beyond their time spent shooting in Canada.

Later that year, Gomez remarked on the incident and said the media had gone "too far" with their coverage.

Justin Bieber

Shortly after declaring Gomez his celebrity crush in early 2009, Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun contacted Gomez's mother to connect the two. After becoming pals, Bieber serenaded Gomez on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on New Year's Eve of that year. Gomez described Bieber as a little brother in a February interview with MTV News.

When the two were seen exiting an IHOP together at the end of 2010, it was clear that romantic feelings had blossomed between them. Despite Gomez's denials, the pair soon made their relationship public. Photos of Gomez and Bieber embracing on a yacht in St. Lucia have surfaced as the two celebrated the new year together. The couple's first public appearance was at the February Vanity Fair Oscars celebration.

The pair made numerous public appearances the following year, including on red carpets. They had been together for nearly two years before breaking up in November 2012.

However, in April 2013, Bieber sparked reconciliation rumors by sharing throwback photos of himself and Gomez. She was even seen at a Beiber concert in Norway. It has begun a long on-and-off dating between the two. In December of that year, Bieber said the couple had broken up.

Gomez and Bieber got back together in August 2014 and shared pictures of themselves on social media, but they broke up again in November of that year. Although they were not together, Gomez said she would always care about Bieber and that their song "The Heart Wants What It Wants" was about him.

In September 2015, Bieber was frank about the ups and downs of their relationship, describing it as a "marriage kind of thing." He disclosed that they had even shared a home for a while, which he acknowledged was "just too much at that age." While he did say they were "so in love," he did note that the low moments had been "theatrical."

A few months later, things took an unexpected turn when Bieber was seen singing to Gomez at the bar of a Beverly Hills hotel to the tunes of The Temptations' "My Girl" and his smash hit, "Sorry." A month later, however, Bieber posted pictures of himself kissing his now-wife, Hailey Bieber, on a trip to St. Barts for the New Year. Gomez repeatedly refused in early 2016 interviews to discuss Bieber.

While seeing other people, Gomez and Bieber avoided each other for over a year. They finally ignited reconciliation rumors for the last time in October 2017. They were seen attending church and having breakfast together, and then later, they were seen riding bikes together.

They stayed together through early 2018 and spent Bieber's birthday and Valentine's Day together. As a couple, they went to Bieber's father's wedding, and Gomez made their Instagram relationship public in March. But things quickly went downhill for the pair after they went public, and they eventually broke up for good a few days later.

Orlando Bloom

In April 2014, the actress was seen hanging out in Los Angeles with Orlando Bloom. In May 2016, the pair were spotted cuddling up in Sin City. After the relationship rumors began circulating, Bloom's partner Katy Perry responded by calling them a "dumb conspiracy" on Twitter, which Selena Gomez retweeted.

Zedd

Early in 2015, the "I Want You to Know" duo began dating.

"I adore Zedd a lot, and I had a thing with him, which was nice," Gomez said of Zedd in June 2015 on New Zealand's The Edge Afternoons.

The famous DJ discussed the incident in August 2017.

"Reporters were calling my parents. People were hacking my friends' phones. I was pissed, [though] I knew what I was getting myself into," he told Billboard. "She is one of the most talked-about people in the world, but I had no idea how much that would change my life."

Niall Horan

There were numerous reports of Selena Gomez and Niall Horan kissing at Jenna Dewan's 35th birthday party in December 2015. Once again, the two were connected in late 2019. In December, Horan insisted he was "very much single."

Samuel Krost

Between late 2015 and early 2016, Gomez had a short relationship with Gigi Hadid's friend. Samuel Krost posted on Instagram in August 2016: "Selena is a real girl with a real heart and real feelings."

"All you superficial who are just unhappy with your love lives understand that love is real. Although we have ventured on separate paths, I know that love exists. I love you, Sel," the post continues.

However, Krost later deletes his comments.

Charlie Puth

Selena Gomez and Charlie Puth had a duet on the song "We Don't Talk Anymore," In March of 2016, Us Weekly claimed that the two were dating. "It's not serious, but she's super into him," an insider told Us then.

During an interview with Billboard in February 2018, the "Attention" singer described the romance as "very short-lived, very small, but very impactful."

Puth said that his relationship with Gomez messed him up.

"It wasn't like I was the only person on her mind. And I think I knew that going in - what I was getting myself into," he said.

The Weeknd

The Weeknd dated Selena Gomez from January until October 2017. After she promoted his music on Instagram, a source told Us in March 2020 that things were "cordial" between the exes. She does not hold anything but positive emotions for him, says the report.

Drew Taggart

In January 2023, Us exclusively reported that Selena Gomez and The Chainsmoker's Drew Taggart were dating. A source close to the couple said, "They aren't trying to hide their romance by sneaking around at members-only clubs," the insider said, noting that the pair "are very casual and low-key" when going on dates.

"They go bowling and to the movies," the source added. "They are so affectionate and having much fun together, Selena can hardly keep her hands off him."

Zayn Malik

TikTok user @klarissa.mpeg, in March 2023, sparked Selena Gomez-Zayn Malik dating rumors after an acquaintance claimed to have been the hostess for the two celeberities at a restaurant. The user and her companion both, she said, work at restaurants frequented by famous people.

"Tell me how Selena Gomez and Zayn just walked into [restaurant] hand in hand making out, and I seated them," the friend wrote.

Selena had only started following Zayn on Instagram a few weeks before the engagement, according to StyleCaster.

On a red carpet in the 2010s, Selena was quizzed about which One Direction member she would most like to kiss. She exclaimed, "Oh no," before laughingly responding, "Zayn."

In 2016, Selena addressed reports that she was dating Zayn in an interview with InStyle UK.

"If he had asked me out on a date, I would be seen with him. Just kidding, but not kidding," she said."
