Saudi soccer club Al-Hilal took on Al-Raed. However, fans were disappointed when the club's latest acquisition, Brazilian superstar, Neymar, did not play. So, when will he actually debut?

Al-Hilal head coach Jorge Jesus noted that upon arriving in Saudi Arabia, Neymar had an injury and was not able to train with the team. The coach also admitted that he does not know when the Brazilian superstar will be able to finally train with his new teammates, according to AS.

"Neymar can do anything. He is one of the best players in the world" the Al Hilal coach insisted. However, "[h]e came with a small injury, he still can't train with the team. I don't know when he'll be able to play."

Injuries have been plaguing Neymar recently, even missing some of his last few games with Paris Saint-Germaine before he was transferred. He famously got injured in the FIFA World Cup last year before finally being able to play again, only to have Brazil eliminated by Croatia in a stunning upset.

The jet was owned by Alwaleed bin Talal and environmental experts are slamming Neymar for taking the private flight as it will have a huge environmental impact, according to Indy 100. This new wave of criticism comes from Neymar inking a deal worth hundreds of millions of dollars with a club funded by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund run by the Saudi government, which is infamous for its human rights abuses.

Reports stated that he had an entire Boeing 747 to himself on his private flight from Paris to Riyadh. Only the flight crew were with him during that entire flight and the carbon footprint of transporting a small amount of people in such a large airplane is thought to be around 858 tons.

Neymar Scheduled To Play Vs. Indian Team During AFC Champions League

Al Hilal will be participating in the AFC Champions League, Asia's equivalent to Europe's UEFA Champions League. With his transfer to Al Hilal now secured, Neymar is expected to play in the prestigious tournament that would crown Asia's top soccer club. Of course, this is if the injury-plagued Brazilian remains healthy.

His new team, Al Hilal, was drawn in Group D of the AFC Champions League. The Hindustan Times pointed out that this means he will be facing off against Indian squad, Mumbai City FC. The team will also take on Navbahor of Uzbekistan and Iran's FC Nassaji Mazandaran.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr is also participating in Asian soccer's biggest tournament. They will take on Iran's Persepolis next month. The tournament itself is expected to kick off on September 18, with teams being distributed across five groups in both the western and eastern regions.
