"Hannah Montana" actor Mitchel Musso was arrested on charges of public intoxication and theft after an altercation on Saturday, according to USA TODAY.

The 32-year-old actor, known for his role as Oliver Oken on the Disney Channel show, was apprehended by Rockwall, Texas, police after a disturbance was reported at a local hotel.

According to authorities, Musso allegedly entered the hotel while intoxicated and took a bag of chips without paying for it. When confronted about payment, he reportedly became verbally abusive and left without settling the bill.

Musso was taken into custody outside the hotel, showing signs of intoxication, and was arrested on counts of public intoxication and theft under $100.

A background check revealed he also had multiple outstanding traffic warrants. After spending a night in the Rockwall County Detention Center, Musso was released on Sunday afternoon after posting a $1,000 bond.

In his mugshot, the actor appeared fatigued and perplexed, furrowing his brow and squinting due to the bright lights of the police station, The Sun noted.

Mitchel Musso Arrested in 2011

Mitchel Musso had maintained a clean record with no encounters with the law for over a decade.

However, in 2011, the "Hannah Montana" actor faced legal trouble when he was arrested for driving under the influence in Burbank, the Daily Mail reports.

He managed to avoid a six-month jail term by entering a plea of "no contest" to the charges. Instead, he received a 36-month informal probation sentence, which included attending alcohol education classes and paying a fine.

Despite his legal past, Mitchel Musso has not been very active on social media. In a December 2021 post, he shared before-and-after photos, discussing his journey from a state of illness, depression, and fragility at 119 pounds to a rebuilt, stronger self at 160 pounds, both mentally and physically.

In a related context, Miley Cyrus recently opened up about seeking therapy to cope with the criticism she faced as a child star.

Reflecting on the unjust nature of the criticism she endured, she emphasized the importance of therapy in addressing painful memories and healing.

While she expressed her current positive state of mind, she also highlighted that such critical treatment should never have been part of her experience.
