Sara Carbonero did not have the best World Cup. Between accidentally becoming the butt of a joke after she released the World Cup Wi-Fi password and Spain losing in the first round, it was certainly not a great time for Carbonero.

But she's definitely making up for it now.

The Spanish sports host and Iker Casillas have decided to take some time to themselves after the World Cup, according to her blog on Elle.

She said that it was time to "disconnect" and "escape for a few days." She even wished her followers a good time on their vacations.

But before that, she opened up about losing.

"You can't always win," she said. "That's how it goes. In general, in sports and in life. Nothing is perfect. Nothing is eternal. We have enjoyed a lot with this team, they have given us some of the biggest joys in our soccer history."

She also explained that Mediaset prepared for the World Cup since December, and though things didn't go well for Spain, she and her co-workers wanted to leave with good memories. They wanted to enjoy their time there.

On the blog, she shared some silly pictures of her and her team working in Brazil.

But the times Carbonero will probably look back at most fondly are the ones her boyfriend Iker Casillas have shared. She spent her time at the World Cup without her son because she needed to focus on work, but now the three are reunited and enjoying their time off.

In one picture, Casillas shared a picture of their son, Martin, wearing blue on blue sheets. The caption said, "blue summer."

Another picture, which was probably taken by Carbonero herself, featured Casillas holding Martin at the beach. The soccer star said it was his son's first time seeing the sea.
