Keke Palmer has filed for sole legal and physical custody of her 8-month-old son with Darius Jackson, according to court documents filed on Thursday, as obtained by Page Six.

The 30-year-old "Nope" star was offered the option of shared custody with the fitness instructor for their son, Leodis, but she declined.

Initially, the reason for her decision was not clear, but it was later revealed that she had also sought a restraining order against Jackson due to allegations of abuse.

In her request for full custody, the "Akeelah and the Bee" star expressed her willingness to cover "reasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth."

However, she suggested that both parties be responsible for their respective legal fees.

The documents also mentioned the court's authority to issue orders for child support and earnings assignments, if deemed necessary, without further notice to either party.

Keke Palmer Files for Domestic Violence and Restraining Order

In Keke Palmer's filing with the California Superior Court, she alleged that on a recent Sunday, Darius trespassed into her home without her consent, threatened her, and physically attacked her, including lunging for her neck, striking her, throwing her over a couch, and taking her phone when she attempted to call the police.

The filing also included screenshots of what appeared to be security footage depicting a man assaulting a woman on a sofa, according to PEOPLE.

Palmer further claimed that Jackson, age 30, had subjected her to multiple instances of abuse over a two-year period, with another incident captured on home security footage from February 13, 2022, where Jackson allegedly body-slammed her onto stairs by her neck.

The declaration by Palmer detailed various instances of physical violence, including striking and neck-grabbing, as well as descriptions of Jackson destroying her personal property, throwing her belongings into the street, preventing her from driving away by taking her car keys, using profanities in front of their son, making threats, and engaging in other forms of physical and emotional abuse.

Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson Drama Emerges After Usher Concert

Palmer's request for a restraining order comes after months of speculation about her relationship with Jackson, which was initially triggered by his comments about her attire at an Usher concert, Us Weekly noted.

Following the Sin City outing, where Palmer wore a black bodysuit with a sheer black polka dot cover-up, Jackson wrote on social media, "It's the outfit tho ... you a mom."

His comments sparked backlash, and Jackson defended his opinion before ultimately deleting his social media accounts.

Palmer did not directly address Jackson's comments but continued to share photos of herself from the event.

A month later, Palmer appeared in Usher's "Boyfriend" music video, which referenced Jackson's remarks about her outfit. In the video, Palmer quipped, "What time is it? Damn it, I missed the show. I'm so tired. I'm a mother, after all."

In August, an insider revealed that Palmer and Jackson's relationship was "complicated" following the Usher incident, with those close to them hoping for a resolution for the sake of themselves and their child.

During an interview in September, Palmer humorously deflected questions about her relationship status, taking inspiration from Beyoncé's privacy mantra.

Palmer and Jackson began dating in August 2021 but initially kept their relationship out of the public eye.

Palmer announced her pregnancy while hosting Saturday Night Live in December 2022, and their son, Leo, was born two months later.

An insider noted that Leo had a lively personality, keeping Keke and Darius on their toes, but the sleepless nights had been a challenge.
