"Friends" star Matt LeBlanc finally broke his silence regarding the death of former co-star Matthew Perry inside his Los Angeles home in a possible drowning incident.

LeBlanc, who played Joey, the roommate of Matthew Perry's character in "Friends," Chandler, took to Instagram and penned a touching message to his departed friend.

"It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend," Matt LeBlanc wrote on Instagram. "I will always smile when I think of you and I'll never forget you. Never."

He concluded his touching tribute by telling Perry, "Spread your wings and fly brother you're finally free. Much love. And I guess you're keeping the 20 bucks you owe me." In that post, he also posted pictures of himself with Perry during their time together in "Friends." According to PEOPLE magazine, their characters, Chandler and Joey, were long regarded as one of television's most beloved best friend duos. The pair sat down with the magazine for an interview, with LeBlanc saying that Joey likely "would have opened a chain of sandwich shops." However, Perry stayed in character as Chandler and let loose a sarcastic remark, saying that Joey would have subsequently "eaten all the sandwiches."
