Grammy-winning singer Celine Dion's sister, Claudette, has given a heart-wrenching health update on the famous singer, confirming that she has lost control of her muscles as a result of her battle with Stiff-Person Syndrome.

Claudette Dion recently revealed what was happening with her famous sister's health during an interview, saying that Celine is "working hard [to battle through her disorder], but she doesn't have control of her muscles."

"What pains me is that she's always been disciplined," Claudette added, stating that her sister has always worked hard and that they are aiming for her to be able to perform again. However, she revealed that Celine Dion's condition might also affect her vocal cords and heart, saying, "There's no doubt that in our dreams and in hers, the idea is to come back to the stage. In which state? I don't know. The vocal cords are muscles, and the heart is also a muscle."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, she admitted that there is not yet enough scientific advancement regarding her sister's condition, lamenting, "That's what is so upsetting to me. Since these cases are one in a million, scientists have not done that much research since it doesn't affect that many people."

During a previous interview, Claudette revealed that the Dion family is "crossing our fingers that researchers will find a remedy for this awful illness." The family also aims to spread awareness regarding Stiff-Person Syndrome, which is a rare neurological disorder that Celine Dion herself revealed she had back in December 2022.

She also explained what is happening to Celine Dion's health, stating in the interview, "You know how people often jump up in the night because of a cramp in the leg or the calf? It's a bit like that but in all muscles. There's little we can do to support her, to alleviate her pain."

E! News reported that the "My Heart Will Go On" singer is currently focusing on resting her body and spending as much time with her children, 22-year-old son René-Charles and 13-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy. She was previously spotted watching an NHL game in Las Vegas with them as the Montreal Canadiens took on the Vegas Golden Knights.

Celine Dion Sang During Her Public Appearance at NHL Game

That appearance happened last October 30 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as she tried to look strong despite battling her rare health condition.

Chantal Machabée, vice president of hockey communications for the Canadiens spoke with PEOPLE Magazine and stated that the 55-year-old Grammy Winner looked "so happy" when she appeared during the hockey game.

"She's been through a lot, and to see her like this and smiling and being so happy...it's amazing," he stated, noting Celine Dion's condition. "I know she has good days and not-so-good days, but this was a very good day, and it was reassuring."

Even though her health seems to be declining, Celine still managed to sing during the game, but was only able to sing "a few notes." However, she was seen publicly laughing and talking to people during that October evening.
