The PS4 has been the darling of the gaming industry ever since it smoked the Xbox One during its debut at E3. Let's take a look at some of the reasons why you should buy Sony's next gen console when it's released Nov. 15th.

For one, the price. You can go on for days about specs and features, but the bottom line is that many people will immediately see that the PS4 is going for $100 cheaper ($399 vs. $499), and the decision will be over. Offering a competitive product for 20% less will do that for you.

Beyond that however, the PS4 actually runs very similar specs to the Xbox One. Both have eight-core CPUs and come with very similar GPUs. In fact, Sony might even have the advantage in that category as its AMD Radeon Graphics Core Next engine has over a half of a teraflop more shader throughput than the Xbox One.

Then of course, you have to consider the PS4's partnership with Twitch. By partnering with the leader in gaming uploads and broadcasts, Sony has made it easy for its gamers to share their conquests with the world.

"PlayStation has a long history of delivering some of the best gaming experiences in the industry and we're excited to have Twitch available on a console as heavily anticipated as PS4," Emmett Shear, Twitch CEO, said in a statement. "Through this partnership we are paving the way for every PS4 gamer to become both a broadcaster and an avid spectator of amazing content."

Lastly, and this is a big one, there is the simple matter of who you want to play with. While the hardcore gamers will invariably buy both consoles at some point, many people will be choosing one or another. With that, whoever wins the popularity contest early on could very well win it in the long run.

The PS4 certainly seems to be dominating in that category. The folks at xboxonevspsfour.com keep a daily tracking of who is voting for which console, and currently the PS4 is sitting on a healthy 3:1 advantage on that site. Certainly, there has been quite a bit of support for the console, as presales have already stretched to over 1 million.

"This is strong given Sony sold less than 1M units of PS3 at launch in 4Q'06," says Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia, "and supports our thesis that the upcoming cycle will ramp up faster than the last one."
