The man whose mug shot went viral last month may have a bright future ahead of him.

Jeremy Meeks, the "hot convict" who has been driving women wild with his sexy mug shot, has landed a contract with Blaze Modelz, a huge modeling agency based in Los Angeles, reports CBS Local.

Meeks became an Internet sensation after he was arrested and the Stockton Police Department in California published his mug shot on Facebook. The picture has racked up over 100,000 likes and inspired a host of memes.

However, before the California con can think about pursuing a modeling career, he must first get out of jail. He is currently being held on $1,050,000 bail on seven felony charges that include "street terrorism," and two misdemeanors for resisting arrest and revocation of parole, said the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, according to the Huffington Post.

According to Officer Joseph Silva of the Stockton Police Department, Meeks was arrested on one gang charge and five weapons charges June 18,  HollywoodLife.com reported. Police believe Meeks was a part of an active group allegedly responsible for shootings and robberies in the area. Three other men were arrested with him.

Although Meeks is 6'1 with killer good looks, the sexy felon's rap sheet includes a string of convictions. He also spent nine years in prison for grand theft auto, the Examiner reported.

The Los Angeles Times also reports that he's a documented member of the Northside Gangster Crips, although his family insists that he's no longer involved in gang activity.

In an interview with News 10, the 30-year-old husband and father said he found out about his newfound fame after he spoke to his wife of four years.

"I appreciate [the attention], but I just want them to know that this is really not me," he said from behind glass. "I'm not some kingpin."

During the interview, he also said he has done some things he is not proud of.

His mother, Katherine Angier, has set up a gofundme page to raise money for her son.

"Please help. My son was taken into custody on his way to work. He is a working man with a son," she said. "He has a job, and he was on his way to work, and no gang affiliations as per two of the charges. He's my son, and he is so sweet. Please help him to get a fair trial or else he'll be railroaded."
