Despite a challenging performance during the 2023 NFL season, the Carolina Panthers ticket price increase has been confirmed for the upcoming 2024-25 season, according to WCNC.

The team's decision to raise overall ticket prices by 4% was disclosed by a spokesperson to WCNC Charlotte's Nick Carboni.

Season tickets for personal seat license (PSL) owners in the lower level will see an average increase of 7%. The most affordable season ticket package remains at $510, consistent with the previous season.

The Panthers faced a challenging 2023 season, marked by struggles on the field after investing in quarterback Bryce Young with the No. 1 overall pick.

The team traded top wide receiver D.J. Moore and four draft picks to the Chicago Bears to secure Young, a move that failed to yield the desired results.

The disappointing season led to the termination of head coach Frank Reich and general manager Scott Fitterer, reflecting the team's frustration and apathy among fans.

Ticket Pricing Strategy

Despite finishing 19th in the 32-team NFL in non-premium ticket pricing in 2023, the Panthers anticipate remaining comparable even with the 4% price increase for the upcoming season, AP News reports.

The team conducted research indicating that 93% of NFL teams plan to increase ticket prices for 2024, with four teams yet to release pricing information.

Upper-level seat prices will largely stay flat, and the overall blended average increase in the upper level is less than 1%.

Premium tickets, including suites and club seats, will see increases based on individual contracts.

PSL owners will receive email notifications detailing the changes in ticket pricing, and they have until May 1 to renew their season tickets.

The team offers incentives for early renewal, with those signing up for a payment plan or paying in full before April 1 becoming eligible to win an all-inclusive trip to the 2024 NFL Draft in Detroit.

Owner's Approach Amid Challenges

Despite the team's on-field struggles and declining attendance, Panthers owner David Tepper is moving forward with the Panthers ticket price increase, aligning with what he believes fans are willing to pay, NBC Sports noted.

The challenge of selling tickets to opposing team fans was evident last season, with half-empty stadiums and notably low attendance in certain games, including one of the worst-attended games in franchise history against the Falcons.

With a new head coach and general manager in place, the Panthers are looking toward a brighter future, although their Super Bowl odds for the upcoming season are currently unfavorable.

While the decision to Panthers ticket price increase may raise eyebrows, the team aims to navigate the challenges of rebuilding and aims for a more competitive and successful season ahead.

Carolina fans, who experienced a decline in attendance last season, will be watching closely as the team endeavors to turn the page and regain its competitive edge.

The ticket pricing strategy and incentives for early renewal aim to engage the fan base and enhance the overall game-day experience for loyal supporters.
