In a suspected gang-related California house party shooting on Sunday evening in King City, at least four individuals lost their lives, while three others sustained injuries.

The incident unfolded on N 2nd Street, near the intersection of Lynn Street.

Police are actively investigating the case, treating the California masked gunmen as armed and dangerous, and have yet to identify the assailants, according to SFGate.

The victims, identified as a woman and three men, were all adults.

Three additional individuals were transported to Natividad Medical Center, their conditions varying from critical to non-life-threatening injuries.

King City Police Chief James Hunt provided details, stating that the shooting occurred when three California masked gunmen, donned in dark clothing, got off from a vehicle in front of a residence, firing upon a gathering believed to be a birthday party.

The suspected vehicle, a silver Kia, is currently being sought in connection to the incident, which transpired around 6 PM.

The suspects remain unidentified, and the police have issued a social media post cautioning the public about their armed and dangerous status.

Intensifying Efforts to Apprehend Suspects

In response to the tragic events, the King City Police Department has announced a $20,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension of the three suspects responsible for the California house party shooting, Kion46 reports.

Family members identified three victims: 32-year-old Alicia Ramirez Aparicio, Francisco Aldape, and Mario Guzman of King City.

Aparicio, who would have celebrated her 33rd birthday on Wednesday, was among those killed.

Of the seven victims, two are in critical condition, and five sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

King City Mayor Mike LeBarre expressed profound sympathy for the affected families and affirmed that all available resources are being employed to locate the suspects responsible for this ruthless act of violence.

The investigation revealed that a party was in progress at the residence, with a silver Kia pulling up to the front yard.

Three men exited the vehicle, indiscriminately firing at the gathering before fleeing the scene.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the California masked gunmen to come forward and assist in their ongoing efforts.

Gun Violence in the US

The tragic events in King City contribute to a disconcerting list of gatherings marred by gun violence across the United States over the weekend, per CNN.

In Georgia, police shot a teenager during an attempt to disperse a group of 500 to 600 individuals, causing commotion at the Six Flags Over Georgia theme park.

In Mississippi, shots fired at a nightclub resulted in one fatality and 12 injuries.

Meanwhile, outside a high school basketball game in Missouri, gunfire left two individuals, including a child, injured.

This incident occurred in an area still reeling from a recent mass shooting during a Super Bowl celebration.

Additionally, in Marianna, Arkansas, a two-year-old child was critically wounded during an altercation outside an apartment complex, leading to the arrest of one suspect, with another still at large.

The California house party shooting aligns with a troubling trend, marking at least 68 mass shootings in the country so far this year, as per the Gun Violence Archive.

This organization defines a mass shooting as an incident where at least four people, excluding the shooter, are shot.

As the nation grapples with these distressing events, the King City community and the broader public await developments in the ongoing investigation into the deadly California house party shooting.
