Despite often bragging about how rich he is, Donald Trump has sent a flurry of fundraising emails to supporters, asking them to donate money as the deadline for paying the $454 million New York fraud ruling approaches and New York Attorney General Letitia James is set to seize some of his most prized properties, including Trump Tower and 40 Wall Street.

"Keep your filthy hands off Trump Tower" was the subject line of one Trump fundraising email and was repeated at the start of the message in bold, italics, and all caps. The letter told Trump supporters that the New York AG "wants to SEIZE my properties in New York," adding, "THIS INCLUDES THE ICONIC TRUMP TOWER!"

After that, he then proceeded to ask his supporters for money as a show of support and strength against all the legal troubles he is currently facing, which he claimed to be a political witch hunt. He only has until Monday, March 25, to pay that $454 million penalty in the civil fraud trial he lost or find a bond company willing to work with him and pay that money so he could appeal.

As the New York Times reported, his attorneys have already admitted that they are unable to secure a bond after approaching over 30 bond companies, with many of the companies unwilling to pay that much money, especially now with Trump being found liable for fraud.

In another one of the dozens of emails he sent supporters as part of his fundraising blitz, Trump stated, "Our movement started on the golden escalator in Trump Tower! Now Democrats want to seize it!"

In a different email, he insisted that "Trump Tower is mine!" and he also repeated his baseless claim that Letitia James had no evidence against him.

What Will Letitia James Do When Donald Trump Fails To Pay?

Letitia James has plenty of options that she and her office could do should Donald Trump fail to meet the payment deadline tomorrow. This includes freezing his bank accounts and seizing some of his most prized properties, from his private jet to the crown jewel of his business empire, Trump Tower.

Before she could do any of that, though, the New York AG will still be required to go back to court to get a judge's approval so she could even gain access to Trump's property. As Politico noted, she also would likely not begin targeting his real estate properties but his bank accounts. She would begin by seizing them and get direct access to his cash.

If this is not enough to pay for that nearly half-million judgment, then James can begin seizing his properties to liquidate them.

Meanwhile, the possibility of Trump declaring bankruptcy to get out of paying that $464 million penalty, coupled with his inability to find a company to bail him out of that penalty, has led to some mockery in social media, with the #DonPoorleone trending on X.
