"Sleepy Hollow" Season 2 returns! This is your guide to almost everything known about the upcoming fall series.

This "Sleepy Hollow" guide includes what to expect from the series, who has been updated to series regulars, and we would like to mention that there is an upcoming "Sleepy Hollow" comic book in the works.

The last time we left the intrepid pair in the season finale: Lt. Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) -- Ichabod had to leave Abbie in purgatory so that he could save his wife Katrina, albeit that Ichabod promised to return for Abbie. Once Ichabod and Katrina were out of that "hell like" place, they immediately had to face the headless horseman, and their son.

Spoilers! Henry Parrish (John Noble) the sin-eater, revealed to the ancient parents that he is their son Jeremy; and that Henry/Jeremy is also the second horseman of the apocalypse. Then, Ichabod was left in a coffin, and Katrina was taken by the headless horseman, The International Business Times reported. Talk about a really bad family reunion. Meanwhile, Captain Frank Irving (Orlando Jones) was sent to prison, and Jenny Mills (Lyndie Greenwood) was left unconscious by the headless horseman.

As of now, it has been confirmed that Noble's Henry/Jeremy, and Greenwood's Jenny have been updated to series regulars, Deadline reported.

Also expected in Season 2 are new issues of trust for Ichabod and Abbie, and two new characters. Executive Producer Len Wiseman says that Abbie's abandonment by Ichabod, after she was left in purgatory, causes them to lose trust in one another, The International Business Times reported.

About the new characters, the late Sheriff Corbin's son joins the cast. Corbin's son is described as a "well-built, all-American Marine carrying a big chip on his shoulder." And, an ex-girlfriend from Ichabod's past Mary Wells, played by Heather Lind from another period TV series "Turn," makes an appearance, TV Line reported. Mary Wells will possibly stir up some magic and trouble. Lind's Wells appears "sweet" and "pleasant," but she has a "darker side." And, she can be very jealous.

Not only will there be new characters, there will be some new villains as well. The show's producers hinted at it while speaking at the PaleyFest at the Dolby Theater in March of this year, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed. Roberto Orci, one of the show's producers, mentioned that the villains coming will be some "amazing foot soldiers," and that some of the other villains will be "familiar," as well as originals.

Besides Moloch as the head villain, Noble's Jeremy will be featured as a major part of Season 2. "It's a season about war, it's a season about redemption," said Mark Goffman executive producer for the show. Goffman also suggested that with Jones' Detective Irving's arrest who will be in charge, and who is willing to "lay down the law." Who will be keeping the peace in Sleepy Hollow? Unknown.

From the hit TV show "Sleepy Hollow," to the possible hit of the "Sleepy Hollow" comic book, BOOM! Studios will be publishing this comic book, and its expected four comic book story-arc series. BOOM! Studios has had success with TV-to-comic-book adaptations, with "Eureka" and "Farscape," Screen Invasion reported.

The writers and artists on the strip are no strangers to success either. Marguerite Bennett ("Butterfly," "Superman: Lois Lane"), artist Jorge Coelho of ("Polarity," "Venom"), and Noelle Stevens of the current acclaimed BOOM! series "Lumberjanes," Comic Book Resources reported.

The four issues are expected to span a similar timeline based on season one. Bennett says that the "first issue takes place early in the [first] season and is a story of magic, the second is in the middle and is a story of myth, and the third and fourth are close to the end, and are the story of a machine," The Hollywood Reporter confirmed.

The comic book "Sleepy Hollow #1" should be available digitally and in comic book stores by Oct. 15, while the second season is expected to begin on Sept. 22 on Fox.
