Jodi Arias already has been convicted of murdering her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, but the question still remains whether she will be sentenced to the death penalty or spend the rest of her life in prison.

At the very least, she could be eligible for parole after 25 years. HLN live-blogged the developments in the Arias case today during a hearing and reported that the defense team has filed motions asking the court to ban cameras and to monitor the jury's social media activity. There will be an entirely new jury.

According to HLN, Judge Sherry Stephens said she would review the motions for the time being before she hears the arguments Sept. 16.

Arias appeared at the hearing today "in shackles and stripes" and wore glasses with her hair up. The convict apparently has a Twitter account, (@JodiAnnArias) and has been posting regularly while she remains behind bars. In her latest tweet, Arias asked her supporters to stop sending books. "I am all maxed out," she tweeted. "The mail room will return them. :-(" She has more than 79,300 followers.

The 33-year-old said she killed Alexander in self-defense, but overwhelming evidence indicated otherwise. In June of 2008, Alexander was found dead in his home. He was stabbed several times and was also shot in the head. When his body was found, friends immediately pointed out that Arias had been stalking Alexander for some time leading up to the murder.

On May 8 of this year, Arias was found guilty of first-degree murder. She is behind bars at sheriff Joe Arpaio's Maricopa County Jail.
