The Houston Rockets seemed to finally find a taker for Jeremy Lin as reports indicated that the disgruntled point guard will be traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Jake Pavorksky of Liberty Ballers reported that the 76ers and the Rockets have already sealed a trade that would send Lin to Philadelphia along with a future first-round pick.

The 76ers reportedly agreed to absorb Lin's lucrative deal in exchange of securing future assets that could help them speed up their rebuilding efforts.

Lin, who is set to earn $14.89 million next season with a cap hit of $8.37 million, has been on trading block over the past several weeks and talks about his exit intensified when the Rockets used his No. 7 jersey in their recruiting pitch to Carmelo Anthony.

The Rockets have been trying to get Lin's salary off their books in order to create room for a maximum contract they are planning to offer to a superstar free agent.

The Rockets, who also traded Omer Asik to the New Orleans Pelicans for a future first-round pick, are interested in acquiring Anthony, but their chances of obtaining the superstar forward is slim at this point, which forced them to shift their attention to Chris Bosh.

Sources indicated that the Rockets offered a four-year, $88 million deal to Bosh, who is expected to accept the offer if LeBron James decides to leave the Miami Heat this summer.

But in order to sign Bosh to a maximum deal, the Rockets need to unload Lin, who averaged 12.5 points and 4.1 assists per game last season.

Previous reports indicated that the 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks are the most likely landing spots for Lin once the Rockets decide to move the 25-year-old point guard. Both teams want another asset or two in any deal involving the former Harvard University standout.

Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie did not confirm nor denied his team's interest in acquiring Lin, but he admitted that he has been talking to several teams about a potential trade.

"We are active in conversations with a lot of teams and a lot of agents," Hinkie said on Wednesday via CSN Philly. "Sometimes that leads to transactions and sometimes it doesn't. It will be interesting to see how the next few days play out."
