Migbelis Castellanos, 19, became Miss Venezuela in 2013, and after gaining some weight, the Miss Universe hopeful was being called "Pigbelis."

Now, she's hard at work and can laugh off the criticism.

"Imagine," she said, according to La Universal. "I never would have had the creativity to call myself such a beautiful name. Well, we're in a competitive world. Everything is valid."

Because she said she wants to participate in a contest that requires women to be in shape, she has to make sure she is fit. She added that others can also lose weight, so long as they are being healthy.

She runs her own social media accounts because she wants to get feedback, but she does not take everything she reads seriously.

Either way, Osmel Sousa is by her side to help her reach all her goals. She thinks of him as her boss, and she pays attention to all his criticisms and tries to correct her behavior. She said the two have a great working relationship.

The beauty queen also opened up about what she thinks beauty means.

"Beauty is being satisfied with what God gave you," she said. "Being completely secure that your personality radiates much more than what you can physically display."

Castellanos has been working on animated series, but she's not sure if that's what she wants to do. Though, she admitted that she hasn't had many chances to act and doesn't know what steps to take to make it happen. But voiceover work lets her be imaginative.

Since becoming Miss Venezuela, she has had to split her time and prioritize her duties.

"But I'm very happy," she said. "And thankful to God because this has been a busy year, and I'm sure that better things are coming."
