The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran is displaying ultimate "Star Wars" fandom by planning a "Star Wars" themed wedding.

His fiancée, Nareesha McCaffrey, was originally opposed to the idea. But Kaneswaran eventually "wore her down," and she finally agreed to the "Star Wars" theme, TMZ reports.

But one aspect of the wedding that is not up for negotiation is McCaffrey's wedding dress.

Kaneswaran tried to convince his wife to be to wear a slave Leia costume, but she insists on wearing a traditional wedding dress.

The Groomsmen and his ring bearer are not so lucky.

Kaneswaran's groomsmen will be sporting "Star Wars" cufflinks along the "Star Wars" movie logo on their boutonnieres. Kaneswaran's dog will be the ring bearer, and he will be walking down the aisle in a Chewbaca outfit, reports TMZ.

Kaneswaran and McCaffrey announced their engagement last year in December after dating for several years, Metro UK reports.

At first, McCaffrey rejected Kaneswaran's proposal to her at his surprise birthday party.

"I don't like surprises, and he really surprised me," McCaffrey said of the reason for her initial proposal rejection, according to Hello! Magazine.

However, immediately after her rejection, McCaffrey said, "Yes," and was presented a three-carat diamond solitaire engagement ring during Kaneswaran's birthday bash. [Metro UK]

Kaneswaran's decision to propose to McCaffrey on his birthday was because he "wanted a present I'd always remember this year by," he recited his marriage proposal to Metro UK. "For you to be my wife."

Kaneswaran also revealed his decision to keep his proposal a secret to his friends and his other The Wanted bandmates.

"It was like a military operation to plan the proposal. I couldn't even tell the other boys in the band in case they blew the surprise."

Kaneswaran and McCaffrey plan to tie the knot in the U.S. sometime next year, reports Hello!

But for now, the couple is enjoying their new home in LA that they moved into last month.
