Katy Perry is in full swing as she starts promoting her upcoming album Prism.

Just days after her grand Brooklyn bridge performance of her new single "ROAR" at the MTV Video Music Awards, Perry isn't slowing down. The "Firework" singer made a stop at Z100 on Aug. 27 to promote her new album. According to Hollywood Life, the singer looked awesome in a green peplum dress "that hugged her in all the right places." She paired the look with a pair of white ankle-high boots.

"Katy's frock hit right above the knee and while the silhouette had a conservative neckline, the way it clung to her curves was undeniably sexy. A statement necklace added the perfect finishing touches to the ensemble while she wore her hair down and opted for minimal makeup, save for some lipstick and lush lashes," wrote the entertainment website.

Prism is expected to be released on October 22, and while her latest single "ROAR" is all about empowerment, the singer says her album wouldn't take a dark turn.

"There's not really any darkness on the record," Perry told MTV News. "There's definitely some textures and colors but I think I was saying that when I saw going through a different phase, but I really let that light in."

Notably, this is also the reason why the singer named her new record Prism.

"The reason why I called this record Prism is because I actually finally let the light in and then I was able to create all these songs that were inspired by letting the light in and doing some self-reflection and just kind of working on myself," Perry explained.

Perez Hilton notes that boyfriend John Mayer may have also helped Perry with seeing the brighter side of things.

"Oooohh! We know the 'light' came from within, but we're sure John Mayer's lovin' helped a little too! LOLz!" the entertainment personality wrote on his site.

Prism will be dropping in stores on Oct. 22.
