Irina Shayk's debut as an actress had her stripping down, but the 28-year-old Russian model was not nervous.

She plays Megara in the film "Hercules," and the model talked about her experience being naked, notes Metro.

"I'm a woman who is very confident with the body, with my body. I feel like you can be naked on a different level," she said. "To be half-naked for a Greek mythology movie, it's a piece of art. You know, there's nothing vulgar in there."

Shayk said she didn't change her diet for the role. She already tries to be healthy regularly, so thing weren't different for her.

But she did say she was "pretty bad" with the food that was provided on set.

Shayk also believes looking good on camera has more to do with how you feel about yourself.

"It doesn't matter if you're small, big or fit, if you go in front of the camera and deliver and say, 'Oh my God, I look amazing,' and just be sure about yourself, everything will be perfect," she said.

The model hopes this will not be her last time working as an actress.

She looked to Dwayne Johnson for help, and said she felt "very attached to my 'husband,'" according to British Vogue.

"I'm not a professional actress, it's my first movie, so it was great to have that support," she said. "I think the most difficult scene for me was the death scene, because you have to lay in the ground and obviously you can't move, you can't breathe, you can't blink your eyes!"

Shayk also spoke about people questioning her Russian roots. She explained that many people think she is Brazilian, which is quite fitting as Brazilian model Adriana Lima is often mistaken for Shayk.

"People don't believe I'm Russian, they always say, 'You look Brazilian' -- but my father was a Tatar, which is close to Mongolia, and I get my colouring from him," she said. "I always say that I'm a Russian spy,"
