Anyone that has seen "Mean Girls" knows that Rachel McAdams' performance is worth watching, but the actress was actually intimidated going into shooting.

Although the director of "Mean Girls" thought Lindsay Lohan was intimidated by the very professional McAdams, "The Notebook" actress admits it's she who was in awe, according to Allure.

"If anything, I was in awe of her talent," she said. "I looked at her as this experienced actor, and she had great comedic timing."

McAdams posed with minimal makeup on the cover of the beauty magazine.

The makeup artist who worked on the look said that McAdams "showed up with rosy cheeks," so she decided to play with that. Inside, McAdams poses in Valentino, Erdem, Elie Saab and Alexander McQueen.

The actress was asked about her thoughts on true love, too. She said that she "absolutely" still believes in it.

And she reflected on her first big-screen movie, "The Hot Chick." In the film, she and Rob Schneider switch bodies.

The hardest scene for her to film was the striptease, she said.

"I just remember breathing deep and thinking, Oh my God, I have to go out there and do this striptease, as a man ... as a woman. How did I get here?" she said. "It was probably one of the scariest moments I've had in my career. It stretched me in ways I could never have imagined. Literally."

McAdams, who has since worked in many different genres of movies, also spoke about working with Philip Seymour Hoffman in his last film, "A Most Wanted Man," notes ET Canada.

She said that he made her feel like she was taken care of, but that there was still some risk.

"He makes sure the stakes are very high, and there's a safety there, too," she said. "He had so much natural, raw talent, but he worked so hard, too. He really worked for it and didn't let up."
