YouTube star Michelle Phan has been topping headlines for something other than her makeup transformations.

The 27-year-old cosmetic entrepreneur is currently making headlines for being sued by EDM record label Ultra Records for copyright infringement, reports Metro.

The Ultra Records lawsuit claims that Phan has allegedly used unlicensed EDM music and music compilations for her YouTube videos.

Ultra Records is home to major EDM artists such as Deadmau5, DJ Kaskade and Calvin Harris, reports TMZ.

And according to the plaintiff, Phan has allegedly profited greatly from the use of Kaskade's music in particular.

The plaintiff is now asking that the YouTube star, who currently has 6.6 million subscribers on YouTube, reveal how much money she has made from her infringed YouTube videos so that she can relinquish her profits to Ultra Records, reports TMZ.

Despite the plaintiffs' claims, Phan is fighting back and insists that Ultra Records allowed her the right to incorporate its EDM music into her YouTube videos. Phan is currently filing a lawsuit of her own, says TMZ.

And it seems that Phan may have an upper hand in the lawsuit battle now that Kaskade has come to her defense.

The EDM artist recently tweeted that he supports Phan and will not be suing her.

"I find that ‪@MichellePhan has great taste in music *ahem*, and knows secrets on how to make my eyes really POP. What's not to like?," Kaskade tweeted on July 18.

He continued, "I'm not suing ‪@MichellePhan + ‪@ultrarecords isn't my lapdog. I can't do much about the lawsuit except voice support for her."

While Phan's lawyers work out their own lawsuit, Phan continues to promote her cosmetic line, EM Cosmetics and tweet words of wisdom despite her current legal drama.

She recently tweeted, "When they try to pull you down, fly stronger and higher to lift them up with you!"
