Season 8 of the BBC's "Doctor Who" has been plagued by so many leaks for several months. Now that the new season is about to premiere in barely a month, it is Steven Moffat's turn to release some "leaks" or, should we say, spoilers. In fact, it was revealed that he has been teasing the media and the fans with the descriptions of the entire season's 12 episodes.

Now, Peter Capaldi's will play the next "Dr. Who." And for any Whovian, any news about the new series is very much welcome. According to SFX Magazine, which did an exclusive interview with Steven Moffat, Season 8 will highlight the dangers of traveling at the side of the Time Lord, but there will a fresh tone on the adventures with the arrival of Peter Capaldi.

Moffat said that the show will be more serious as it looks at the consequences of choosing to live as a time traveler, which has an effect on the people left back home. There will be more questions, such as whether or not the Doctor will actually make you better.

For Season 8, Moffat said that viewers will feel that the sort of adventures that occur in the episodes can hurt people. Capaldi as the new Doctor Who will be a person that you cannot immediately approach because he is a person that does not look at others with approval.

While he will be saying to the person he leaves behind to wait for him to come back, there will be some nagging doubt that he might not stay true to his word. The Cybermen and the Daleks will be back as well and an episode will be a fairytale one, alluding to Robinhood, Inquisitr reported.

Although the new season might be darker than the previous ones, fans will still be rejoicing because BBC has just confirmed that the season premiere on Aug. 23 will roll out on the big screen. The season's premiere episode "Deep Breath" will be screened in 1,500 movie theaters all over the world and will introduce Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor.
