Apple has begun training its staff in preparation for what is rumored to be a Sept. 10 release of iOS 7.

The AppleCare technical support staff began its training yesterday on the new features of iOS 7. Multiple AppleCare employees have confirmed this.

According to the AppleCare staff, the employees must finish the iOS 7 training by the second week of Sept. which is the same time Apple is holding a media event about the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C and iOS 7.

In addition, Apple will be reinstating a rule that it has used in the past with its employees. Most of Apple's part-time support staff will be required to become full-time members of the support staff. This way, there will be ample technical support for the iOS 7.

Many Mac Hardware/OS X technicians will also be trained in iOS 7. Apple has not done this before.

The training focuses on critical features of iOS 7. For example, Apple wants to ensure that its employees know how to use the Find My iPhone Activation Lock feature. This feature makes a customer's iCloud login information required for an iOS Device to be inputted to activate an iPod touch, iPad or iPhone. The feature was created to help stop thieves from selling Apple products.

Furthermore, Apple wants training heavily focused on iCloud Photo Sharing, Safari's browsers feature updates, the camera's new features and the AirDrop app. The iTunes Radio will also require training. There will be more than 200 stations based on genre on iOS 7.

Some of iOS 7's biggest new features include the AirDrop for iOS and Control Center.

With AirDrop, Apple becomes more on par with some of its competitors. AirDrop allows users to share items like videos, contacts and photos from any app with a Share button. AirDrop then sends the item via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth through a secure network.

The Control Center will give users easy access to commonly used apps and commands such as Airplane mode, brightness display and Wi-Fi control, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, Lock screen orientation and music control. All that is needed is a quick swipe to access tools like iOS 7's new flashlight as well customer favorites like the calculator, camera and timer.

The Notification Center will also be upgraded. Typically, the Notification Centers shows users their new mail, to-do list, missed calls and similar news. iOS 7 adds a new feature called "Today." With Today, the iPhone will display all of the news of the day including weather, traffic, and birthdays. As usual, the Notification Center will be accessible from any screen by swiping down. With iOS 7, the Notification Center will also be accessible through the Lock screen.
