T.I. recently cleared up the rumor that he ghostwrites for his Grand Hustle Records artist, Iggy Azalea.

During an interview with Bijou Star TV,  the Atlanta rapper denied ever ghostwriting for Azalea.

T.I. defended Azalea and said, "I ain't no ghostwriter. Iggy got her own ideas and thoughts that she presents to the world in her own way."

The "Family Hustle" star continued defending Azalea by saying that he's not as "articulate" as the Australian rapper.

"I couldn't write a lot of the sh*t she say, you know? I couldn't put her thoughts into words as articulate as she does. You know what I'm saying? She just has a different way of presenting herself and her art," he continued.

But just because T.I. doesn't write Azalea's rhymes, doesn't mean that she doesn't get help from peers.

"Now don't get me wrong. Everyone in the studio helps with hooks and certain things like that," T.I. explained. "That goes for me and any of the other top five... Rappers, performers. It could be a producer, it could be a homeboy .... you want the best ideas."

T.I. clarified that though he doesn't ghostwrite for Azalea, he could be considered as her mentor.

"If Iggy could have a mentor, I mean yeah -- I guess I'd be the closest thing to it," he teased.

Billboard reports, the T.I. and Iggy ghostwriter rumor erupted during Nicki Minaj's acceptance speech at the 2014 BET Awards.

"What I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it," Minaj said to the audience at the live award show.

Immediately following Minaj's speech, the Internet assumed that Minaj subliminally dissed Azalea who had already been receiving backlash for allegedly not writing her own music.

But now that T.I. has spoken up, perhaps the Internet will finally put the ghostwriting rumors to rest.
