The tragic and untimely death of Luis Fernando Muñoz Castro came as a shock to fans and to Banda Los Recoditos, and on Sunday they joined to say goodbye.

In Tamazula II, the people who loved Castro played music and mourned the 25-year-old musician. He was killed in a car crash on Friday, July 25, notes TV Notas.

He was sitting in the passenger seat of a red 1995 Geo Metro. The incident happened at around 7:20 a.m., and Castro died on impact. Pictures of the accident have been floating around social media.

Los Recoditos were in charge of inviting fans to the ceremony, which they did through their social media accounts.

On Facebook, the band said, "To all the people that want to give a last goodbye to LUIS FERNANDO MUÑOZ, you have the chance in guamuchil at the EMAUS funeral home. ... We pray for him and the people who accompanied him who, unfortunately, also lost their lives, Jorge Alberto Cuadras Baez and Jesus Humberto Perez Sanchez. Thank you again for your condolences and for being with us and his family in these difficult times."

Band member Luis Angel Franco also shared a picture of a wreath he got for his bandmate.

"This is my last present for my friend, who really liked roses and he's covered by roses today. God bless you," Franco said in a tweet, where he shared a picture of the wreath.

A video of the funeral was filmed by Teofilo Noris Lara.

People can be seen singing loudly without the use of microphones. There are also noticeably distraught people within the crowd. And while some held white balloons, other had roses in their hands.

Those who attended also took pictures of Castro's casket being lowered.
