Amidst their divorce rumors, Beyoncé reportedly goes apartment hunting in New York City, unaccompanied by her rapper husband Jay Z.

Page Six previously reported that the hip-hop couple is "trying to figure out a way to split without divorcing" once their "On the Run" joint summer tour is over. "This is a huge concert tour and they've already gotten most of the money from the promoters up front," a source close to the pair claimed.

According to The New York Post, the R&B diva was secretly checking out a $21.5 million penthouse located in Chelsea all by herself, weeks after the infamous elevator altercation between her sister Solange Knowles and the Brooklyn emcee. "She was very quiet, as if she was looking on the sly," a source revealed.

Although the five-bedroom, five-bedroom duplex is measured 4,045 square feet, it is still much smaller in size, compared to the "Drunk in Love" duo's current 8,309-square-foot apartment at 195 Hudson St. in Tribeca. "I can say with certainty that Jay is not downsizing,' the source added.

The luxurious property at 520 West 19th St., which is owned by the founders of an electrical contracting firm Paul and Carol Kleinberg, offers gorgeous panoramic views of the city and the Hudson River.

The pad also boasts its massive terrace facing the Empire State Building, a 20-foot dining room, double fireplaces and a library. It comes with a security doorman to maintain privacy and safety of the residents.

The source hinted that the apartment is most likely for the "Partition" singer herself and her baby daughter Blue Ivy: "There's no way a $20 million apartment is for her mother or her sister. That would be wildly unlikely."

Beyoncé's representative apparently hung up when asked for a comment, while Jay Z's publicist claimed she did not have any idea about either of the artist looking for a new place to live.
