Electronic Arts (EA) announced on Wednesday a new feature that will allow gamers to enjoy EA titles through a subscription service called "EA Access."

Through this partnership between Microsoft and EA, Xbox One owners will be able to gain exclusive access to EA games for just $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year.

Since EA Access is still in beta, the initial set of games includes only four titles -- namely FIFA 14, Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25, and Peggle 2. Of course, more titles will be added as the program develops.

Furthermore, subscribers of EA Access will enjoy a 10 percent discount on all digital content offered by EA, including DLC and full games. They would also be able to gain early access of almost a week before new EA games are released, with the option of carrying over copies of the save files from the trial version to the full version in case the subscriber chooses to purchase it subsequently.

For example, early access to games including NBA Live 15, FIFA 15, NHL 15, Madden NFL 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available.

Memberships may be purchased on Xbox Live and other outlets such as Amazon and retails stores like GameStop. EA Access has already rolled out the service to a limited number of players.

While EA has not given an exact date when it will be launching the subscription service, the game developer said that it will be available "soon" in North America, Australia, Europe, and New Zealand.

EA Access is the gamers' key to what EA calls "The Vault," which is a collection of the game developer's best titles. Basically, Xbox owners who decide to subscribe will be able to take advantage of a wide selection of games for less.

Announcements and updates will be available on EA's official website.
