The stars and team behind "American Horror Story: Freak Show" shared a pile of new details about Season 4 at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.

The participating actors revealed their characters' names at the panel, Deadline reports. Emma Roberts plays Maggie (further details about the character were not disclosed). New cast member Michael Chiklis plays strongman Evan del Toreado and his wife, Desiree Dupree, will be portrayed by Angela Basset, who previously said she was a freak, but not the bearded lady. Evan Peters plays del Toreado's son, Jimmy Darling. In addition, the show added new cast member John Caroll Lynch ("Shutter Island").

"[There is] a villain who will rival the rubber man and the minotaur from previous seasons," Tim Minear, "American Horror Story: Freak Show" executive producer, teased. "John Carroll Lynch will play him, and he will scare the sh*t out of you."

As previously revealed via Twitter, Sarah Paulson will play conjoined twins Bette and Dot.

"[The heads aren't] a prosthetic," she said. "There's a mystery around what we're doing, and I want to keep it that way. Right now, a week in, Bette is my favorite character. It's like 'Sybil.' I should call Sally Field and get some tips."

The actors also took time to dish about "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy.

"He's a visionary," Peters said. "He thinks of all these things, and we have to figure out what he wants."

"That's the damn truth! It unnerves me a bit," Kathy Bates, who plays Ethel Darling, del Toreado's wife and Jimmy's mother according to Den of Geek, added. "The man behind the curtain has come out in front of the curtain. It's so lame. I must be nervous. After my first scene one week, I got home and couldn't go to sleep, and then I slept for 30 hours -- and that was without drugs. I swear to God, I think he scares the sh*t out of me."

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" premieres on FX in October. It takes places in 1950s Jupiter, Florida and stars Jessica Lange as a German woman managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.
