Kevin Durant could make his homecoming as reports indicated that the Washington Wizards will make a strong push to sign the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar when he hits free agency in the summer of 2016.

Durant recently lauded LeBron James' decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. And when asked about the rumors linking him to his hometown team, the reigning Most Valuable Players insisted that he is happy with the Thunder, but pointed out that he is not closing his doors on any possible moves.

"I'm not going to sit here and act like I'm naïve to the fact that people think about that stuff. But I just tell everybody that I'm here in Oklahoma City, I love it here," Durant said via ESPN. "Who knows what will happen? I never close the door on anything. But I like where I'm at right now, so I can't answer that question."

Durant, who averaged 32.0 points to go along with 7.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists last season, still has two years left in his contract he signed in the summer of 2010.

The 25-year-old superstar previously expressed commitment to the Thunder, but he pointed out that he will think about his future move once he becomes a free agent and decide what's best for him without being influenced by people around him.

"I'm going to do what's best for me," Durant said via NBA.com. "It's hard to talk about that right now when I've got two years left in Oklahoma City. I'm just going to focus on that. I'm not going to make a decision based on what anybody else does."

Wizards guard John Wall also expressed strong interest in playing alongside Durant, saying that they could form their own "Big Three" with Bradley Beal, who had an impressive sophomore year last season.

"To be with one of the top two best players in the league, in my opinion, who can score at will and do whatever he wants (would be great)," Wall said via USA Today. "You could have a Big Three with me, him and Brad (Beal), and I feel like that's what you need to win a championship now is a Big Three. It'd be great to have him back home."
