Today is the big day. After months of speculation and agnozing over just what to expect from the folks at Samsung and their new Galaxy Note 3, the much-anticpacked Unpacked launch event for the latest and greatest phablet is upon us.

For those of you who need to get the absolute latest on the Note III, you can watch the event by live stream above. For the rest of you who couldn't quite get here in time, the Samsung channel will soon post a video of the event on its YouTube channel once its finished.

The Galaxy Note III has long been expected to be the latest and greatest offering on the Android market, rivaled only by Apple's next generation of iPhone in terms of both hype and computing power.

One of the attributes that was first talked about by Samsung officials at the Unpacked event was the "warm, textured touch" of the new phone. It will come out in black, white, and a new "bluch pink" color.

Also at the outset of the Unpacked event the Galaxy Gear was debuted. Samsung noted that you would be able to receive text message notifications from the Note III on the smart watch. It appeared to have an angular design and the model shown was in orange.
