PlayStation 4 users, your wait for "Minecraft" is almost up.

Developer of the popular sandbox game, 4J Studios, announced on Twitter that the PlayStation 4 version of "Minecraft" is done and that means it likely still will be released this month, according to IGN.

"We've handed Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition over to Sony for the final test," the developer tweeted.

As for the versions of the game for Xbox One and PlayStation Vita, the wait may be a little longer. 4J says that it continues to fix bugs on those editions and that fans can expect an update on the status in the near future.

Last week, rumor had it that both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of "Minecraft" would come out on Aug. 19, but with the recent revelation from 4J it would appear that only the PS4 version of the game can be expected on that date.

Recent rumors also circulated that 4J no longer would be updating the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, but the developer tweeted that those rumors are not true.

For those uninitiated with the popular "Minecraft" game, it involves world creation by breaking and building 3-D blocks. Activities in the game include exploration, gathering resources, crafting and combat.

According to The Epoch Times, the next-gen version of the game will have newer, bigger worlds than before. Furthermore, it was reported that the worlds created on the older generation consoles (Xbox 360 or PS3) can be shifted to the next-gen consoles.
