While making a stop in Chicago as part of his ongoing joint summer tour with Young Money mentor Lil Wayne, Drake seemingly threw shade at his one-time love rival and enemy Chris Brown.

The two rappers were onstage to rap battle each other out. "I recently gave a hit to your best friend," the New Orleans emcee started dissing before launching into Brown's smash hit "Loyal," which also features fellow YMCMB artist Tyga.

After Wayne's verse, the Toronto rapper proceeded to make of the R&B singer's track and the accompanying music video. "That s*** sounds like a f*****g car commercial or some s***," he rapped to the audience. "That's what y'all cheering for? This n**** Tyga at the movie theatre with Chris and s**t."

The "Nothing Was the Same" rapper and Chris Brown previously got involved in a bottle-throwing incident back in 2012 at a New York nightclub, which reportedly started over their common love interest, Rihanna. However, they reconciled earlier this month, even appearing in a skit together at the ESPYs and collaborating on music together.

This certainly is not the OVO founder's first time sparking controversy at "Drake vs. Lil Wayne" tour. While performing "Days in the East," a red, flaming image of RiRi blazed on the big screen behind him. The hellish backdrop was accompanied by three burning 6s, which is widely associated with the devil.

However, Drizzy took to his Twitter a couple of days later to clear things up. "My album title is VIEWS FROM THE 6. The 6 is Toronto," he tweeted. The projection of number 6 was just a reference to his upcoming fourth studio album, standing for his hometown's main area codes 416 and 647.

Drake then added that he did not mean any harm: "Rih is a great girl who I know is about to kill this tour with Eminem. It's all love."
