Another character has been added to the growing list of DC villains that will terrorize Starling City in the upcoming season of "Arrow" this fall.

The popular superhero drama series has cast "TRON: Legacy" actor Matt Ward to play Simon Lacroix, who is better known as villain Komodo in the DC Comics world, reports Entertainment Weekly.  He will be also be linked to an overarching plotline that will run throughout the entire season, says executive producer Marc Guggenheim.

"He's the villain-of-the-week for the second week of the show, but you'll see that Team Arrow's pursuit of him is part and parcel of a season-long storyline," said Guggenheim. "You're going to know what happens to Komodo at the end of the episode, but it will be a little bit tied in better with the season-long mythology than villain-of-the-week episodes have done in the past."

In DC Comics' New 52, Simon is an archer and one of the Green Arrow's enemies. On "Arrow," however, he's a deadly mercenary who uses the code name Komodo.

There is speculation that another DC Comics character will come to Starling City in the upcoming season.

According to KDramaStars, Nightwing will join the CW series and will be played by "The Vampire Diaries" star Steven R. McQueen.

Although there's still no official announcement from the studio or the network, McQueen has posted several cryptic tweets and Instagram post about his the role, including an Instagram picture that he shared on June 27 of himself working out in the gym with the caption "#legday #nightwing."

In November, he also he tweeted several times using the hashtag #Nightwing.

Actor David Cubitt has also been cast in Season 3 as Mark Shaw, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The "Medium" star will be introduced during the third episode of the new season as an A.R.G.U.S operative in Corto Maltese who crosses paths with Diggle. He also has ties to the Suicide Squad, which was featured last season on "Arrow." Eventually, Mark will take on the mantle of Manhunter.

In the DC comics, Manhunter is a name taken on by multiple characters who are part of a sect of ancient crime fighters with ties to Green Lantern. Starling City district attorney and prosecutor Kate Spencer was also a Manhunter before she was killed last season.

In addition, Ra's al Ghul will also pop up as Oliver Queen's ongoing nemesis of the season.

"Arrow" will return to The CW for its third season on Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET.
