During his interview with "Access Hollywood Live" on Tuesday, French Montana defended himself by denying recent reports claiming that he is using girlfriend Khloé Kardashian for fame.

Last week, the "I Ain't Worried About Nothing" rapper acknowledged the extra attention he has been getting from media, thanks to his lover. "I want to capitalize on it," he told Billboard. "I'll get a fan base from everywhere. I just hope I'll be able to connect with everything that's going on."

Kardashian then tweeted in response: "It's amusing to me that Y'all think I don't see it. I was the first one to see it. I just don't care."

While opening up about his highly publicized relationship with the reality star on the entertainment news talk show, the Moroccan emcee insisted that his previous comment was taken out of context. "I was so mad about that," he said. "If I'm with somebody, I'm not with them for that reason."

The "Don't Panic" rapper also explained his love-hate relationship with reality TV and how he feels pressured from being on camera, referring to "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." "I hate being on camera," he admitted. "Sometimes you're not ready for it and it's too much pressure, but I [also] love it. But I hate how it happened... all the commotion."

The Cocaine City Records CEO then gushed about Khloé Kardashian. "She supports me with everything I do," he said. "When it comes to her career, I don't think about it. If she needs me to do something, I do."

In addition, French Montana shared his near-death experience, surviving a gunshot to the head in 2003 while leaving a New York recording studio. "After you go through something like that, you ain't making no mistakes. You calculate every move you do," he said. "I just feel like it was karma. When you do negative stuff in your life, it always comes back to you. I feel like that's what it was."
