According to The Hollywood Reporter, Adrianne Palicki will be joining the cast of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." She will be playing the part of superspy Bobbi Morse, also known as Mockingbird.

Her character will make an appearance in the fifth episode of the series when it returns to television on Sept. 23.

While it has been announced that she will be a guest, there is also potential for her character to return in other upcoming episodes.

The appearance of Mockingbird in the series was first teased at Comic-Con when actor Patton Oswalt (Billy Koenig/Sam Koenig) confirmed that Life Model Decoys indeed exist in the S.H.I.E.L.D. universe and that Mockingbird is likely to appear in Season 2 of the TV franchise. She will be joining an increasing number of stars making guest appearances in the second season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Adrianne Palicki played the part of Lady Jaye in "G.I. Joe: Retaliation". She was the titular character in a pilot episode of "Wonder Woman" which was not picked up by stations. She is currently in a recurring role in TV's "About a Boy" as Dr. Samantha Lake. Palicki was also in the 2006 pilot of "Aquaman."

Now fans are thinking that perhaps Jeremy Renner will also make a guest appearance in "Agents of SHIELD" since Palicki's character and Renner's character, Hawkeye, are married in the Marvel comics universe.

Other guests lined up for season two of "Agents of the S.H.I.E.L.D." are Lucy Lawless, who will play the role of SHIELD veteran agent Isabelle Hartley, Nick Blood as mercenary Lance Hunter and Henry Simmons as Alphonso "Mac" Mackenzie, another S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. A loyal right-hand man known as Bakshi will be played by Simon Kassianides abd Reed Diamond will play the role of Daniel Hall, a HYDRA agent code-named Kraken.
