Kell Brook is pushing for a showdown against Amir Khan, expressing confidence that the All-British showdown has the potential to become a blockbuster fight.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Brook said that a fight against Khan will be a massive showdown because British fans have been waiting for the fight to happen over the past several months.

Brook, the newly-crowned International Boxing Federation welterweight champion, said in an interview that the fight could fill any stadium in Great Britain like how the rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves drew around 80,000 fans at the Wembley Stadium.

"It's going to be massive," said Brook, who is planning to fight in December. "I think it will sell out any arena in Britain and everybody will be talking about it."

Brook, who won his world welterweight title via a majority decision win against Shawn Porter on Saturday, is also convinced that the possible Khan-Brook showdown will live up to expectation, saying that their fighting styles are perfect ingredients for an exciting and action-packed bout.

"I think me fighting him -- it's been going on that long -- I think the tactics will go out the book and we'll just meet in the centre of the ring and have a brawl," Brook said. "His style and my style, I think, will definitely gel. He's got quick hands, quick feet and he's very exciting. As we know, he hasn't got the best chin, so that makes it more exciting and I can definitely punch. It's got all the ingredients to be a super, exciting fight."

The 28-year-old Sheffield, Yorkshire native called out Khan again, saying that the former light welterweight champion will have no more excuses like before now that he is a world champion.

"Let's sign the contract and make it happen," Brook said. "He's said that I've never proved myself. I've gone to America, to the American's backyard and took the title from him. I'm now the world champion, let's make the fight happen."

Khan, who is coming off a dominating win against Luis Collazo on May 3, is also planning to return to the ring in December or November before eyeing a showdown against Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather Jr. next year.
