"Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt, coming off of the surprisingly successful movie, just landed another role as America's sweetheart. The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles was recently abuzz with activity, and Chris Pratt visited the hospital as part of its special screening of "Guardians of the Galaxy," according to Inquisitr. The actor went there to entertain and cheer up the young patients as well as their parents and the hospital staff.

Pratt came in regular clothes when he came to the hospital. While the movie was playing, Pratt left and came back dressed as the Star-Lord, Peter Quill. The children were ecstatic and Pratt spent over three hours wearing his full movie costume, interacting with the young patients and handing out "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "The LEGO Movie" themed toys. Some children were even allowed to try on his movie costume.

Chris Pratt spent his time at the hospital playing with the kids, taking hundreds of pictures and signing countless autographs. Later, he separately visited and entertained the patients in the Pediatric ICU, the Children's Center for Cancer as well as Blood Diseases and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit because those patients were too sick to attend the special movie screening.

Chris Pratt also spent some time with Dylan Prunty, a big fan of LEGO who recognized the actor's voice from "The LEGO Movie." The two spent about 10 minutes re-enacting different scenes from the film. Prunty, who is just eight years old, has mitochondrial disease. The actor also signed the Lego toys that Prunty received from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The hospital staff posted some photos of Chris Pratt entertaining the young hospital patients and expressed thanks to the actor for making them smile. There are also pictures of Chris with Dylan Prunty wearing the leather jacket of the Star-Lord.
