The good news is that Shameless has been renewed for another season, so there will be a Season 5. The not-so-good news is that it will not be back until sometime in 2015. The exact date has not been announced, although it is clear that the filming for Season 5 will commence later this year, The Epoch Times reports.

It's a good thing that Showtime is not stingy with spoilers, so at least fans know that something exciting is going to happen next season. More spoilers are still coming out, which keeps fans happy for they are all eager to know what the future holds for the Gallaghers, a family that has been described as the most dysfunctional one in the country. There was a suggestion from Entertainment Weekly that there will be one Gallagher who will get lucky and fall in love next season.

It was just toward the end of Season 4 that Jimmy/Steve (Justin Chatwin), Fiona's true love, was revealed to be alive. He came back in the season finale although the family members were not aware of it because he decided to lie low. Season 5 is expected to start off with this storyline, which is expected to be more unpredictable and confusing as the lives of the children get more complicated as they grow older. The spoiler floating around is that a family member will be involved with someone from a rock and roll band.

There are some casting updates as well. Steve Kazee will join the show in the next season, playing the role of a very handsome musician. Emily Bergl, who plays Sammi Gallagher in the show, has been promoted to a regular cast member and guest star Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays the part of Charlie, Fiona's manager at the diner, will be seen in several episodes. Steve Kazee's character will be competing with Morgan's character for Fiona's affections.
