There was a video announcement last Thursday on the Discovery Channel, which reported that Tory Belleci, Kari Byron and Grant Imahara, who have been long-time co-hosts for the popular science TV show "MythBusters," were leaving the show.

According to CNET, these three hosts have been very popular among fans of the show for so many years but the show's hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman said that the show is taking a new direction and they will be going back to where they started, with just the two of them as hosts. They also revealed that the change became effective after the last episode of the season, which ended on Aug. 21.

In the video, Adam Savage expressed his thanks to the departing co-hosts with whom they have worked with for a decade.

He said that the trio literally gave their "blood, sweat and tears" for science and they were lucky to have worked with them on the show for so long. He also said it was a pleasure for him to call Grant Imahara, Kari Byron and Tory Belleci his friends.

Jamie Hyneman also gave thanks to the three co-hosts and wished them good luck.

The three co-hosts took to Twitter to thank their fans and to respond to the news. They confirmed their departure from the show and said that they have also learned a lot about science, themselves and the world as well as explosions within the 10 years that they were on "MythBusters." Although no details were given, they also said that they will be moving on to new and exciting adventures.

Although not related to "MythBusters," Grant Imahara won at the Geekies Award Show last weekend. The award was for performing in "Trek Continues," a web series where he encouraged girls to take an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects (STEM).
