The sequel to the 2011 movie Captain America: The First Avenger is scheduled to set sail by April 4 of next year, according to Marvel.

The movie will reportedly be entitled Captain America: The Winter Soldier and brothers Anthony Russo and Joe Russo will be directing the movie. The concept and story will be under the direction of comic book writer Ed Brubaker, while screenplay will be taken care of by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, says IMDb. Joe Simon and Jack Kirby will take charge of the movie adaptation of the comic book.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier will revolve around Captain America's efforts to save the entire globe. In the process of saving the world, he teams up with the Black Widow and later on recruits the Falcon. As things unfold, they all discover their biggest rival just yet in the form of the Winter Soldier.

The teaser poster for Captain America: The Winter Soldier was released by Marvel Studios in July of this year. The poster was an image of a discolored and slightly damaged shield of Captain America. Rumors are saying that the teaser poster hints on a more serious battle between good and evil in the sequel.

Filming for the movie kicked off last year during April. Film sets and filming locations reportedly include several establishments and locations in Washington D.C., like the National Mall, Theodore Roosevelt Bridge and the Willard Hotel. Filming also took place in Cleveland in locations such as public libraries, museums and state universities.
