Three things that most people should know: one, this is the last weekend of summer; two, this is a long holiday weekend with Labor Day; and three, Sept. 1 marks the addition of new movies and TV shows titles on Netflix.

Snakes, zombies, vampires, criminal profilers, and some Robin Williams films are just some of the films and TV shows that are surfacing on Netflix in September. The first of September on the digital streaming network is perhaps seeing an uptick in more original Netflix shows, and network shows.

One can get to digitally binge watch some shows before the Big 6 network airs their popular fall TV shows. There is CBS' "Criminal Minds" Seasons 1 to 9; NBC's "Parenthood," Seasons 1 to 5; ABC's "Once Upon A Time" with Seasons 1 to 3 now available. The AMC zombie series "The Walking Dead" Seasons 1 to 4 as well as the Emmy winning series "Sherlock" with all three seasons are available now for streaming.

Netflix has also debuted some of their originally produced and made TV shows. There is "Happy Valley," which is a police drama starring Sarah Lancashire ("Coronation Street," "Last Tango In Halifax"). Lancashire plays Catherine Cawood, a Yorkshire police sergeant who is coping with the suicide of her daughter, as well as struggling to raise her young son. The plot thickens when the man that Cawood blames for her daughter's death is paroled; she wants to bring him down.

There is also the stand-up comedy special of Jim Jefferies titled "Jim Jefferies: BARE." Jefferies is an Australian comic, and in the show nothing appears to be off limits.

And there is the animated series "BoJack Horseman," voiced and starring Will Arnett ("Arrested Development," "Up All Night"). BoJack was once a 1990s beloved sitcom horse -- yes, a talking horse -- in a hit TV show called "Horsin' Around." Twenty years later he is no longer relevant, and no one remembers him. The animated series is set in L.A. In 2014, BoJack must now figure out what he must do with his life.

Also coming in September is "Anaconda," the giant snake quest film starring Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube. And the Academy Award winning "Silver Linings Playbook" is out on Sept. 16, and Kevin Costner in "3 Days to Kill" is set for Sept. 17.

There are also some popular Robin Williams films streaming: "Jumanji," "Popeye," "Hook" and "The Bird Cage," just to name a few.
