The new Assassin's Creed game will feature new skills and weapons available through the assassin Shay, who will also allow players to experience the game's universe from a Templar's perspective. According to IGN, some of the never seen before weapons include a deadly air rifle that can be used both for long and short range combat with an array of ammunition such as grenades and bullets that produce different effects.

An enhanced vision will let the player detect Assassins hidden among the crowds, in the shadows and on the rooftops. The storyline will feature the dark transformation of Shay from an Assassin to a Templar who commits himself to hunting down his former brothers.

According to Game Informer, the game will feature sharp graphics, following high-level art direction and inspiration from eighteenth and nineteenth artworks from painters such as Aldro Hibbard and Albert Bierstadt, according to the game's art director. He also said that the beautiful style of artwork adds to the overall experience of the game.

Although New York had already been featured in Assassin's Creed III with historically accurate details, Rogue will add additional features while keeping the era's authenticity. To do this, the art director said that the graphics would rely on organic compositions, as well as new shapes and a richer color palette.

Assassin's Creed: Rogue was confirmed earlier this month after a lot of rumors and speculation about Ubisoft's latest titles, which includes Assassin's Creed: Unity. The story of Shay will be set between 1752 and 1761 in several unique environments, namely New York City, River Valley and the North Atlantic Ocean, mostly in the northeastern portion of the United States. Unity, on the other hand, is set during the French Revolution in Paris.

The two Assassin's Creed games will be released on different generations of gaming platforms exclusively, with the Nov. 11 Assassin's Creed Rogue exclusive to the last-gen consoles PS3 and Xbox 360 and Unity exclsive to the newer-generation PS4 and Xbox One.
