After becoming one of the latest stars to be affected in a massive celebrity photo leak scandal, Hilary Duff has alerted FBI agents that she has been the target of a fake photo leak.

A spokesperson representing the former Disney star confirmed to the New York Daily News that she has reached out to federal officials after naked pictures were published online Friday purporting to be her.

The rep also said that the explicit photos, which expose a woman's naked body from the neck down, were determined not to be of Duff.

"Photos claiming to be Hilary Duff are completely fake. They are all from the neck down and absolutely fake," said the pop star's rep, according to Mirror Online. "They do not have Hilary's defining birthmarks or tattoos."

She added, "We have alerted the FBI that these photos are fake."

The 26-year-old's rep also told the Daily News that "legal recourse" will be taken if someone claims that the photos are really her.

The alleged pics of Duff were uploaded just days after a massive leak of 100 other nude photos of female celebrites on the Internet during Labor Day weekend.

A hacker uploaded dozens of nude photos of female celebrities, including A-list stars like Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton, to the message-board website 4Chan. However, the pics quickly went viral, sparking debate over celebrity privacy, cyberbullying and slut-shamming.

Other stars who were affected by the leak include "Big Bang Theory's" Kaley Cuoco, pop singer Ariana Grande, who claims that her photos are fake, and singer/actress Jill Scott.

Although feminists rushed to defend the celebrity women who were being blamed for taking explicit photos in the first place, Internet users pointed out that not much was done to protect Scott, who recieved ridiculefor her thick body.
