Eli Manning is 0-for-2 in games against big brother Peyton Manning, but the Giants quarterback is hoping the third time will be the charm as New York prepares to host the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.

If momentum plays a factor in this game, it will clearly be in favor of the Broncos, who soared to an opening week victory behind Peyton's record-tying 7 touchdown passes. But as younger brother Eli prepares for the matchup this weekend, he knows he has as great of a chance as ever at beating his older brother's team.

Eli's first matchup against Peyton -- in New York back in 2006 -- ended with a 26-21 victory for Peyton's Colts. Four years later, Peyton's Colts proved to be too much for the Giants to handle in a 38-14 blowout. Eli struggled mightily, completing only 13 passes and barely threw for more than 150 yards in the air.

But now, Eli has more Super Bowls under his belt than his older brother and he is smack dab in the middle of his prime. Instead of the young and inexperienced Eli lining up against his veteran sibling counterpart, Eli is now a veteran himself. He will also be hungry to get his first win of the year after a wild rollercoaster ride of a game last weekend in Dallas.

As usual, the Manning family will gather at the stadium for the game between the brothers. The brothers only face each other every four years or so, but the family is just looking to get it over with so they don't have to think about picking sides.

"We don't like it," father Archie Manning said to ESPN Radio. "The boys don't like it. They don't like to play against each other, but it's a football game and they don't get worked up. And I don't think they're going to make a media circus out of it from their end.

The 4:25 p.m. game this Sunday at the Meadowlands will mark the first time the brothers will not be facing each other in a primetime game. Judging by what the family said, it's probably just the way they want it to be.
