This week, several Latino stars used social media to honor lost entertainers and loved ones.

Mexican-American teen singer Becky G posted an emotional tribute to her friend and fellow performer Simone Battle. Battle was part of the girl group G.R.L. after being discovered on the "X Factor" in 2011. The 25-year-old was found dead in her Hollywood home Saturday. There are now reports that the cause of death was suicide.

Becky G posted a touching photo and message about Battle, since the girls had become friends from their time spent signed to the same music label, Kemosabe Records.

"Truly so saddened by the news about my friend and label sister Simone," Becky G shared via Instagram the same day news of Battle's passing was publicized. "She was a talented and beautiful soul. My heart goes out to the rest of GRL and to Simone's loved ones...Guys, please never take a day for granted, live and love to the fullest...Look around yourself and be thankful for the life that you have and even when it gets hard and you feel like you just can't take it anymore, always remember that somebody loves you and that there's a light at the end of the tunnel... Thinking about you Simone."

G.R.L.'s other members have not publicly shared whether the group will continue without Battle.

The long battle for Gustavo Cerati, the Argentine pop star of Soda Stereo who was in a four-year coma following a stroke in 2010, passed away on Thursday. The outpouring from Latin celebrities showed how influential the 1980s and 1990s pop singer was to music.

"Gustavo, we still have to do the most important song of all," singer and former NBC's "The Voice" coach Shakira wrote on her Facebook account. "I love you, friend, and know that you love me! Just as you taught me, I'll use love as a bridge."
