When Jenni Rivera's plane crashed in 2012, it wasn't just the singer who was killed.

And now the families for Rivera's lawyer, hairstylist, makeup artist, publicist and one of the pilots are looking to settle with Jenni Rivera's company, according to Associated Press.

On a hearing on Tuesday, lawyers Steven Archer and Thomas Dempsey said they were attempting to work out a deal with Jenni Rivera Enterprises Inc. lawyers, as well as the company that performed maintenance on the plane.

There will be a Dec. 10 hearing, which will either bring more settlement news or be used to schedule a trial.

Starwood Management Inc., who were the owners of the Learjet 25 that crashed, have not been responding to documents filed for the case and no longer have a designated attorney working on the matter. The judge has recommended seeking a default judgment based on the lack of cooperation by Starwood.

Esteban Loaiza, who is Rivera's widower, will also be looking for a default judgement against Starwood. The former Los Angeles Dodger sued the company because he said that the pilots weren't properly license and the plane was damaged from a 2005 accident.

Since the late 2013 accident, there has been a lot of speculation about how the crash really happened.

For example, in June, a YouTube video went viral because it seemed as though there was a man warning Rivera that she would be killed that night.

Experts later said the recording was manipulated and that you would never be able to hear someone's words that clearly.

But Rivera's sister, Rosie Rivera, was not convinced. She said that her producer brother Juan Rivera confirmed that the voice was real. He had heard it previously on the recording, but hadn't said anything.

"I think that we, since we know that she's going to heaven, maybe hear things in our mind," she said. "Maybe he was saying: 'listen to her Martha'. And for us we hear it as: 'today they kill her.'"
