With Apple revealing their newest phone, the iPhone 5S, the tech giant is holding their head up high with latest added technology, like the fingerprint scanner. But of course, if there are praises, there will always be haters around.

Haters have already voiced their frustrations online. Over on Twitter, some of those haters even noted that potential phone robbers will not only be after the iPhone 5S but also the phone user's finger.

Time Magazine's tech section mentioned some dark sides of the new Apple phone that are worth considering. First, the iPhone 5s is not advisable if you already own the iPhone 5. The incremental switch is not worth it unless you have countless money to spend and that your contract has not yet ended. They also noted that its battery life may just be as similar as the last model since Apple only claimed that the new phone has a faster processor that will less likely drain its lithium-ion battery.

Then we go back to the fingerprint scanning feature. Yes, it cannot be denied that the new addition is makes the advance smartphone even cooler. However, it does not offer 100% security. Critics say that the phone can still be hacked and is not a good enough reason to make the switch to the 5S.

In another article written by Zack Whittaker for ZDNet, the biometric technology has been getting a lot of criticisms since for security experts, even a simple amount of Play-Doh can be used to track fingerprints.

Notably though, it can still be too early to say that the iPhone 5S won't work as it hasn't been released yet, not until Sept. 20.
