In February, the adaptation to E.L James' "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be released. The movie is one of the most anticipated films of next year and one that is expected to be a huge box office success.

After the trailer premiered, buzz has increased and there are high expectations that the movie will be close to the book.

So what so we know so far?

It Will Be Rated R

Last year, producer Dana Brunetti told Collider that the upcoming film would be rated R but that there could be a chance that a NC-17 version could come out afterwards.

"It'll be R, obviously it has to be R. This is just my opinion and this doesn't mean this is going to happen," Brunetti said. "But I always thought it would be really cool if we released the R version, and then we had an NC-17 version that we released a few weeks later. So everybody could go and enjoy the R version, and then if they really wanted to see it again and get a little bit grittier with it, then have that NC-17 version out there as well."

Brunetti also stated that fans want the film to be dirty.

"What we're kind of hearing from the fans is they want it dirty, they want it as close as possible [to the book]. We want to keep it elevated, but also give the fans what they want."

Universal is distributing the film under Focus Features, which is the specialty division of the company. As a result, it is likely the movie could get a NC-17 version. Specialty divisions are usually dedicated to releasing edgier films to audiences. For example in 2011, Fox Searchlight had no qualms about releasing Steve McQueen film "Shame" about a sex addict. That movie featured a number of nude scenes as well as intense sex scenes. As a result, this is always a possibility.

Crazy in Love By Beyonce Will Be Featured

The first trailer that was released in July featured a slow version of Beyonce's hit song. Then, at the end of the trailer, it says featuring an Exclusive version of "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce. As a result it can implied that song will be in the soundtrack to the upcoming film.

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan Are the Leads

Originally Charlie Hunnam was slated to play the lead role of Christian Grey. However, he dropped out and recently revealed that he felt too much pressure after finishing "Sons of Anarchy."

He said, "I really didn't want to fail on such a grand scale, and I just couldn't transition from Jax Teller to Christian Grey in 48 hours. I bit off more than I could chew and it was painful. I loved the character and I wanted to do it."

Jamie Dornan replaced him and surprised audiences as he is a relatively unknown. The actor has appeared in a number of films including "Marie Antoinette" and in the British Indie "Shadows in the Sun." He has also been in seen in the TV series "The Fall" and "Once Upon a Time."

Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson has been rising up the ranks starring in a number of films including "21 Jump Street," the Academy Award winner "The Social Network," "Need for Speed" and "Beastly." She has also been seen in "Cymbeline" and the TV series "The Office."

Sam Taylor Johnson Directs

Taylor Johnson is making her second feature following a successful debut with "Nowhere Boy." That movie went on to receive critical acclaim and was nominated for three BAFTA awards including Outstanding Debut by a British director, writer or producer.

Taylor-Johnson has also directed for the British Independent Film Awards as well as the London Film Critics. The director has also made three shorts.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" tells the story of a literature student Anastasia Steele, whose life changes forever when she meets handsome, yet tormented, billionaire Christian Grey. The film also stars Jennifer Ehle, Max Martini and Marcia Gay Harden and will be released on Feb. 13, 2015.
