Floyd Mayweather Jr. will put his unblemished record on the line once again when he faces Marcos Maidana in their rematch on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Mayweather, who holds a perfect 46-0 record with 26 knockouts, scored a majority decision win in their first fight, but Maidana managed to push him to the limit before Floyd Jr. escaped with a narrow victory.

Mayweather, who will put his World Boxing Council welterweight and light middleweight titles at stake along with the World Boxing Organization welterweight crown, vowed to silence his critics with a convincing win against Maidana.

"I know that I am almost 40 but I am still going strong," Mayweather said via BoxingScene. "I'm coming to make a statement."

The reigning pound-for-pound king also added that he is not going to make any adjustments for Saturday night's showdown, reiterating that Maidana is the one who needs to make changes with his fight plan based on the results of their first showdown.

Responding to Mayweather's tirade against him, the Argentine fighter Maidana expressed confidence about his chances against his heavily-favored opponent, reiterating that he will do whatever it takes to hand Mayweather the first loss of his boxing career.

"This time around I'm training to win. I know what to expect," Maidana said. "I know Mayweather now, his style, what he brings to the table. I'm coming to win. I have more concentration, no excuses whatsoever, and adequate time. I want to beat him this time. I'm going to do whatever it takes to beat him."

Most analysts are convinced that knocking out Mayweather is Maidana's lone option if he wants to win, but the 31-year-old dismissed all those statements, saying that he is also capable of getting a decision win against the unbeaten champion.

"I don't agree with that statement," Maidana said. "I think that I can win by decision or by knockout. The first fight was a very close fight. It was a decision that was a majority decision, so I feel that I just have to make a few adjustments, put a little more pressure on, land better punches, and yes I can win, I can win by decision."
