Kendrick Lamar released a peace-themed cover for his upcoming single "i" on Wednesday.

"If Pirus and Crips all got along / They'd probably gun me down by the end of this song / Seem like the whole city go against me / Every time I'm in the street I hear / Yawk! Yawk! Yawk! Yawk! (Sound of gunshots)," the Compton emcee opens the title track off his critically acclaimed 2012 major label album "good kid, m.A.A.d city."

K. Dot, who witnessed gang violence growing up in his corrupted city, took to his Instagram account to share the meaningful artwork along with a simple caption, "i." The image sees two people in red and blue, which symbolize the two notorious gangs Bloods and Crips, throwing up a heart sign.

This comes after watchLOUD announced the rumored title of the forthcoming song off the "B*tch Don't Kill My Vibe" hitmaker's highly anticipated sophomore LP last week. "Kendrick Lamar is dropping a new single soon. 'I Love Myself.' That album's on the way," the video production company tweeted.

Another Twitter user named Kurt Throwbridge revealed that Lamar is set to drop his new music on Tuesday:

HipHop-n-More then confirmed with sources that the "Swimming Pools" rapper will definitely release the next single on Sept. 23 and its actual title is going to be "i." The Interscope sources also confirmed to Complex that "i" is produced by Los Angeles-based musician Rahki, who also worked on bonus track "Black Boy Fly" off Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, m.A.A.d city."
